This summer, the artist Hiroko WATANABE invites you to an amazing show: a very special calligraphy demonstration, at the rhythm of taiko drum beats!

Hiroko WATANABE lives in Nagoya, but she also exhibits her work abroad, exploring different work fields such as logo design, shodô and also interior-calligraphy design. Her artistic goal is to simply express the beauty of calligraphy, and to touch her audience’s heart by inspiring them.
The works of WATANABE Hiroko do not follow traditional calligraphy: she uses new means of expression and reaches to her audience’s sensitivity, with creations such as 3D installations.
The show offered during the festival is followed by the rhythm of taiko drum beats, an instrument that perfectly resonates with the strength of this lively calligraphy.
