Hiroshima Peace - A peace melody
This original troupe is inviting you to a journey to the heart of Japan through the 5 senses. Hiroshima Peace is offering you a unique show that tells the History of Japan through music, songs and videos.
The troupe Hiroshima Peace captures the soul of Japan with a mix of mystic songs and Japanese traditional music. They transmit it in their shows by appealing to the 5 senses.
The singer’s voice, Hyotami, is accompagnied by several instruments like an otsuzumi, an hourglass-shaped Japanese drum, played by Shonosuke OKURA, a musician who is listed as Intangible Cultural Heritage of Japan. Along with them, the pianist Eric MONTIGNY, the koto’s player (a traditional Japanese stringed musical instrument) Tomoko KIHARA, and the flutist, Koto. During the performance, the dancer, Mika YANAGIMOTO is performing the old dance of Kannon while videos play to tell the History of Japan.
