Yoann Vornière

Come and meet Yoann Vornière, author of Silence!

Born in 1992, Yoann Vornière decided at the age of 6 that when he grew up he would make comics. When he was at secondary school, he did a work placement at Aquarium, a cartoonists' workshop in Toulouse, where he discovered that making comics wasn't really what he had in mind. In fact, it's even better! It was there that he met Tony Valente, to whom he asked lots of questions. In 2015, he published a comic financed by crowdfunding: Sois heureux ou meurs en essayant (Be happy or die trying), an intimate 200-page black and white comic with the idea of reworking it 5 years later. After living in various towns in France, then Tahiti and French Guiana, he returned to mainland France where he met Jim Bishop. Their meeting gave birth to Jill & Sherlock in 2017.

In 2018, he began work on a new version of Sois heureux ou meurs en essayant, a manga in three volumes.

Since 2020 he has been working on a new adventure manga: Silence.
