SAMURAI ARTIST KAMUI
The "Samurai Artists" troupe KAMUI is back at Japan Expo for performances as breathtaking as ever!
KAMUI is a troupe of SAMURAI Artists who merge the beauty of form, acting, and martial arts and have established the original style of samurai fighting performance.
Their leader Tetsuro Shimaguchi joined the film KILL BILL Vol.1 by Quentin Tarantino as an actor, a choreographer of fighting scenes, and a trainer of actors.
In 2018, he was the first Japanese to receive the Consonanze Award in Florence, Italy.
In 2019, he was appointed as a tourism ambassador for the city of Aizuwakamatsu and the Fukushima prefecture.
The KAMUI troupe has visited more than 35 countries, and approximately 150 cities for performance.
During their overseas shows, Mika Kobayashi often joins them as their featured singer.
And they have been promoting "SAMURAI" as Japanese culture and art to the world.
Their dynamic, action-movie-worthy shows on stage will blow audiences away at Japan Expo.
