Makoto Sumikawa
Reiko in Kamen Rider, Metalder, Shaider, Miki in Devilman, and above all Diana Lady in Spielvan: you're familiar with their acting and stunts, here's her actress straight out of the Japan Action Club. Makoto Sumikawa will be at Japan Expo as a co-star with Spielvan's actor Hiroshi Watari.
Makoto Sumikawa, also known by her nickname Jun Kônomaki, is a Japanese actress and stuntwoman.
She made her mark on the field of Japanese superheroic series as Diana Lady (ダイアナレディ), Spielvan's loyal partner in the eponymous series.
With or without her suit, it's her strength and charm that have won over viewers around the world. More than a simple “sidekick”, Diana and Spielvan formed a real duo on an equal footing. Although Makoto Sumikawa didn't always embody Diana Lady in costume, even in human form she was agile as a cat and fierce as a lion.
Her talent for stunts and action scenes enabled her to step into the shoes of male characters: hidden behind the masks of Metal Heroes, she served as a stunt double for the heroes Shaider and Metalder, the main roles in the series Uchuu Keiji Shaider and Choujinki Metalder.
Apart from her tokusatsu track record, she also shone as seiyuu in the role of Miki Makimura, the female lead in the Devilman OVAs between 1987 and 1991.
