Hiroshi Watari is an actor known for his starring role in various tokusatsu series, including Earth Defender, Hero of the Universe: Spielvan! He crystallizes at Japan Expo with his sister-in-arms Diana Lady.
Hiroshi Watari, a true tokusatsu hero who successively wore the armor of Sharivan (1983) and Spielban (1986), returns to Japan Expo for the first time in 22 years.
A key figure in superheroic action series, he is a charismatic actor whose talent continues to captivate fans. Even newcomers to the world of tokusatsu are immediately captivated by his iconic roles, which explode onto the screen with every appearance.
His versatility enabled him to play both the role of Boomeran in “Kyoju Tokuso Jaspion” (1985), as well as stealthily replacing Hikaru Kurosaki behind the mask of Jaspion himself. This would have a lasting impact on his career.
He studied at Sonny Chiba's acting school, the JAPAN ACTION CLUB (JAC), where film stars including Hiroyuki Sanada were trained. After iconic roles in the Metal Hero series, Hiroshi Watari also made a name for himself as a narrator and voice actor.

In France, it was the broadcasts of Spielvan and Sharivan on Club Dorothée and Récré A2 respectively that introduced French-speaking audiences to Hiroshi Watari and made a new generation reached the universe of tokusatsu.
