Cookiesan
Happy Full Moon and Genkidama Love to you! Meet Cookiesan, pioneer of Manga Rap in France, at Japan Expo!
A manga and anime enthusiast, Cookiesan is one of the pioneers of Manga Rap in France.
This musical genre, at the crossroads of rap and manga culture, draws its inspiration from the strong values conveyed by Japanese anime - perseverance, surpassing oneself, honor, friendship - while adopting an authentic, hard-hitting style of writing.
Through his music, Cookiesan offers much more than a simple style: a truly immersive experience, where his lyrics resonate with those who grew up watching shōnen and identifying with their heroes. The ambition is to structure and professionalize this movement, making it a recognized scene in its own right and bringing France and Japan even closer together through Japanese music and pop culture.
In his lyrics, Cookiesan never forgets where he comes from. Straight outta Mantes-la-Jolie, he dreams of making it a flagship of the Manga Rap scene.
Over the years, the rapper has developed a narrative universe and a strong community.
More a crew of nakama than mere fans, they all share Genkidama Love, the rapper's motto that aims to bring together all generations, lovers of rap and manga, of Japanese culture, without distinction or limits.
Discover “Isekai 13”, his latest single from Cookiesan, which served as the anthem for Japan Expo Marseille 2025.
