Marvel at Aubusson tapestries in Studio Ghibli colors!
After an exhibition of 16 works inspired by the world of Tolkien, La Cité internationale de la tapisserie Aubusson welcomes you with open arms to present the Aubusson tapestries woven on the theme of Studio Ghibli!

Aubusson tapestries are made using regional know-how that has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site for more than 6 centuries, and which enables the creation of monumental tapestries. The tapestries on show this year draw their inspiration from Studio Ghibli animated films such as Princess Mononoke, Howl's Moving Castle and My Neighbor Totoro. The scenes captured in the fabric are brimming with detail and color, taking you back to your favorite works of art. See these sublime tapestries reproductions in Hall 5 at Japan Expo!
The old collection, inspired by Tolkien's work, is also on display in Hall 4; come and admire the tapestry depicting the Taniquetil in The Silmarillion!
