Biography
Thomas ASTRUC started his career as an artist as a storyboarder for popular feature films (Wasabi, Asterix & Obelix: Mission Cleopatra) and internationally famous animation series (Totally Spies!, W.I.T.C.H.). In 2007, he started directing with the animation series Mikido and Wakfu.
Since 2014, he has been the creator and director of the animation series Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir, produced by Zag and ON kids & family. Miraculous now brings together a community of several millions of fans around the world. Aired in more than 130 countries, the series appeals to both kids and grown-ups. The heroine created by Thomas ASTRUC is a vivid illustration of the "girl power" phenomenon and a perfect depiction of its time.
At the heart of a team of talented authors and codirectors, Thomas ASTRUC is currently writing and directing seasons 2 and 3 of the series, and he is also part of the Miraculous feature film that is to be released in 2020.
