TaeYeon MINEMES is a talented cosplayer, and this year she is Japan Expo’s guest, to meet you and be part of the European Cosplay Gathering jury!
Biography
TaeYeon has been cosplaying since 2003. Being favorite characters is why TaeYeon became a cosplayer.
As a cosplayer, TaeYeon is doing photo shooting, judge, panel, prop maker and so on. Since the very first costume which was made by hand sewing, she’s continued cosplay up to now. Her cosplay characters are mostly chosen by preference but sometimes she also does model for asked characters. Furthermore, appearing on stage, doing panels and interviews are also her activities and she sometimes joins contests, not only as a contestant but also as a judge of contests in various countries.
When TaeYeon is invited as an event guest, apart from doing interviews, panels or presentations, she also communicates with attendees. If the cosplayer in visiting countries can speak English or Japanese, she loves to talk to them and share/compare cosplay cultures. She’s won many awards over the years, all over the world, among which the World Cosplay Summit in Japan in 2012 and in 2015.
Making props is another of TaeYeon’s talents, such as weapons, robots, or armors.
