Japanese chef Seiichi ITO teaches you how to prepare kushikatsu. "Kushi" means skewer and "katsu" means pork - usually breaded and fried.
These little skewers of breaded and fried ingredients can be made with various kinds of meat (chicken, pork, beef, shrimp, fish, etc.) or vegetables (onions, asparagus, aubergines, mushrooms, pumpkin, sweet potatoes, etc.), but most often with pork and onions.
Seiichi ITO has transformed this popular dish into a gourmet dish in his Parisian restaurant, Kushikatsu Bon. On Sunday on the Washoku stage, he will show you a simple recipe for kushikatsu to make at home!
