Nad
Nad is undoubtedly one of France's best-known cosplayers. And she's giving us the great pleasure of being present at this year's Japan Expo!
A fan of fantasy universes, Nad began cosplaying in 2006 with the Lulu costume from a world-famous license: Final Fantasy. Since then, she has created over a hundred costumes from manga, cartoons, video games, films and series.
Her experience has enabled her to win numerous national and international competitions. She was selected to represent France in prestigious competitions such as ECG, EuroCosplay, the Yamato Cup in Brazil, where she finished 2nd, and MAGIC in Monaco, where she took first place in 2016.
The same year, she won the Cousu Main TV show broadcast on the French national channel M6, presented by Cristina Cordula and judged by professional dressmakers. Following this victory, she published a book on sewing, including numerous patterns and their explanations. More recently, in 2019, she and Papa and Kiilys won the first edition of the Overwatch Cosplay Battle organized by Blizzard, as well as first place at the international Japan Touch competition in Lyon. In 2021, she won the People's Choice Award in season 4 of the Coupe de France de Cosplay, and in 2022, she finished 4th in the All Stars edition of this competition.
With a growing community on social networks, Nad's attention to detail, advice and explanatory mini-tutorials on how to make her costumes are much appreciated by beginners and experienced cosplayers alike. Never stingy with advice, she often leads discovery workshops on subjects as varied as sewing and armor-making at conventions where she is invited.
Since 2023, Nad has been a member of the "Once Upon a Show" cosplay troupe, which creates cosplay shows. Their first show on the theme of Beauty and the Beast "An Eternal Story" was a real success, confirming Nad's talent and passion for the art of cosplay.
