Marika Herzog published several mangas in her native country: Capacitas, Legacy of the Ocean (Carlsen), the Grimoire series (Comic Culture Verlag), Demon King Camio and Whispering Blue (Egmont), before signing Sleepy Boy with Ankama.
In 2019, she won the AnimaniA Award in the “Best Manga Nationally” section for Whispering Blue. The same year, Capacitas won the German Phantastik Preis Award in the “Best German-language Comic” category.
