Kim Junghyun is a renowned cartoonist, best known for his work on the worldwide hit webtoon Viral Hit, which has amassed over 2 billion views. Viral Hit tells the story of Yoo Hobin, a victim of school violence in Korea, who by chance finds a chance to change his life by live-streaming his fights with thugs.
This webtoon was a huge success in Japan and has been adapted into animation, broadcast since April 2024 on the Fuji TV Plus Ultra channel and the global OTT platform Crunchyroll (broadcast in May 2024). In October 2023, another popular webtoon by the author, Brave Citizen, was adapted into a film.

Kim Junghyun is currently working as the writer and illustrator of Killer Peter. Killer Peter is an action series about killers, produced in collaboration with Lim Lina, the author of White Blood. With its powerful drawings and story filled with suspense and tension, Killer Peter is an exhilarating tale of revenge that enjoys widespread support among fans of webtoons around the world.

This year, he will be at Japan Expo from Friday 12 July to Sunday 14 July on the WEBTOON stand to take part in various events, including signing sessions, discussions about his work and drawing demonstrations.

In addition, on Friday 12 July, he will be the special guest at the Watch Party organised in collaboration with Crunchyroll, the broadcaster of the Viral Hit anime. The event, dedicated to promoting the webtoon and animation, will include episode screenings and talk shows, giving fans the chance to meet the author up close.
The event will take place on the Yuzu stage.
