Jordi LAFEBRE
The Spanish artist Jordi LAFEBRE will be attending Japan Expo, facing Atsushi OHKUBO, Fire Force mangaka, at a legendary draw battle!
Biography
Jordi LAFEBRE was born in 1979 in Barcelona where he studied art and comics before making his debut as an illustrator in 2001. His work was published in several Spanish magazines, including the youth magazine Mister K, in which he signed El Mundo de Judy (“the world of Judy”) in collaboration with writer Toni FRONT.
Meeting Zidrou was an important time for him: after a few works for Spirou magazine, Jordi LAFEBRE took part in a collective work written by Zidrou. In 2010, they both signed a well-received album, Lydie. In 2014, still with Zidrou, he released La Mondaine and kept on wit hanother series, Les Beaux Étés, in 2015. Volumes 4 and 5 are to be released next June and November.
At the festival, a draw battle will bring together Jordi LAFEBRE and Atsushi OHKUBO on stage, organized in partnership with publisher Kana.
