Biography
Born on September 2, 1975, in Fukagawa, in Kôtô area, Tokyo, Hiroyuki OSHIMA debuted at age 17 and was rewarded with a prize by the weekly magazine Shûkan Shônen Jump. In 1995, he received the most prestigious Tezuka prize. In his university years until he was 25, he worked as an illustrator.
Hiroyuki OSHIMA graduated in literature and humanities from Musahi’s college and then started publishing a manga in the monthly magazine Ours from Shônengaho, forming a duo with Daisuke IHARA: that was the moment when he really started as a mangaka.
From the summer of 2005, most of his works are published as comics and not manga. In 2008, he came to live in France. Then started a new life and to improve his comics knowledge, he studied at atelier 510.
