Chizuru KOBAYASHI
Japan Expo is delighted to welcome the animator, chara-designer, and animation director Chizuru KOBAYASHI. She’s working at the moment on STAR BLAZERS 2202 alongside Nobuyoshi HABARA with whom she’s coming to meet you!
Biography
Chizuru KOBAYASHI was born in Toyama prefecture and has been keen on drawing since her early childhood. She has decided to transform her passion into her job and studied in an animation school in Niigata. Today, she has been working in this industry for over 13 years.
Her first experience in animation had her work on MegaMan NT Warrior. Afterwards, she was the chara-designer on Fafner in the Azure, then Pandora Hearts, and Lagrange: The Flower of Rin-ne, or else as the animation director on Broken Blade.
At the moment, she’s working on Drive Head, and STAR BLAZERS 2202 alongside Nobuyoshi HABARA and Takumo NORITA.
In her spare time, she loves playing video games, especially RPG such as Final Fantasy.
Chizuru KOBAYASHI is joining Nobuyoshi HABARA and Takumo NORITA at the festival. Their work with studio XEBEC on the anime STAR BLAZERS 2202 will have pride of honor, with a dedicated documentary and an exhibit, How to Make an Anime - Season 2 with XEBEC.
