Focus on the cosplay at Japan Expo 2022!
Like every year, cosplay took part in the festival with its share of events and animations. Here is a summary of what you saw about cosplay at Japan Expo 2022!
There were many cosplay guests to present you the secrets of the profession and their best creations.
Among them, international cosplayers and members of the jury of the 10th edition of the ECG: Taryn, Italian cosplayer and model, Pion, from Korea and passionate about photography, LittleJem, a great fan of imposing and electronic costumes and animatronics, Ketrin, Czech cosplayer and creator of all kinds of armors and finally Rian CYD, multi-awarded artist from Indonesia.
Other cosplay guests also put the profession in the spotlight! With her sweet voice and her cosplay outfits, the Japanese Singing Cosplayer Hikari brought your favorite anime characters to life! The cosplayers group Totoi Japan, of which Misaki MORI is a member, performed on stage with a mix of dance and cosplay on the theme of the mobile game Genshin Impact.

Several events also caught your attention, among which a must of Japan Expo: the ECG. On Saturday night, the final of season 10 took place on the Ichigo stage. You can find the winners in this article! Then, the day after the 10th season, the French selections for the 11th edition took place!
On the Kitsune stage specially dedicated to cosplay, you could find the Genshin Impact cosplay contest organised by HoYoverse.
Two panels also took place: the Genshin Impact panel and the Attack on Titan panel.
The EPIC association orgabized various events around cosplay on the Kitsuné stage. Games, animations, contests, you could discover cosplay in all its aspects!
Many animations on booths also took place in the cosplay area. The association Les Dix Lunes offered two masterclasses, "How to set up a cosplay project" and "Mastering your image and relationships", then was on booth for cosplay and creation workshops to put your creative talents to the test.
Aoi Sora Cosplay allowed you to learn cosplay techniques and made available its SOS Cosplay© workshop for any urgent repairs during the festival! In the same theme, Cosplay & Crafts offers you workshops to discover many materials and techniques for the making of costumes, sets and accessories and its "Cospital" for cosplay emergencies!
The Association Multiuniverse Fantasy Cosplay or A.M.F. Cosplay introduced you to cosplay with creative workshops, demonstrations, animations and the will to open cosplay to all. With performances on stage, you could learn more about cosplay!
Spyder Atelier invited you to discover the other side of cosplay! The making of it has no more secrets for you. Throughout the festival, you could discover the mysteries of the different techniques of costume design: from traditional sculpting to 3D design, Spyder Atelier shared with you its knowledge in these areas through various activities.
Lovecraft Asso, composed of Edes & Samus, Aldarion Cosplay and Sören Cosplay, offered you masterclasses and animations on booth in order to learn more about this passion which unites the members of the association : cosplay !
