Tsunagari village is new to the festival and is inviting you to try out five forms of traditional music and dance by taking part in festive workshops!

Tsunagari village (or the link village) comes to Japan Expo to present you five festive Japanese arts through varied demonstrations and animated workshops. Discover shinobue flute, sanshin (a plucked stringed instrument that traditionally accompanies folkoric songs), yosakoi (a sportive Japanese dance), taiko and awa odori, (a Japanese barrel-shaped drum and a folkloric dance also known as "the fools' dance"), and become familiar with all these particular art forms that create strong social links bringing children, adults and elders, as well as all social classes together around one same activity.
