Tsukiyoi is a duo formed by Kou, a professional koto player (one of the most ancient Japanese musical instruments) and Tetsu, a creator of musical environments.
Kou has played the koto from a very early age, since she was 5 years old. By the time she turned 10, she had already started to play the shamisen as well. She graduated en 2006 at the Tôkyô Geijutsu university, where she got her degree in koto music, specialized in the Ikuta style.
As for Tetsu, he’s an amazing multi-genre musician, master of occidental and oriental music (violin, piano, nô songs, shamisen…). He also participated in the creation of many records, as a composer and musical director
