The group Satsumasendai Odori-daiko was funded on January 1st, 1983 to share taiko with children and take care of their good health. Today, the group mainly includes young women in their 20s.
Satsumasendai Odori-daiko mainly performs in Kagoshima but also abroad. The group was spotted on Japanese TV, which drew the public’s attention.
