Raiden
For the first time in Europe, a show will be bringing together over 80 yosakoi dancers from 6 troupes on stage. Among them, let’s introduce the Dutch troupe Raiden!
Presentation
Yosakoi troupe Raiden (雷電, thunder and lightning), founded in 2011, is linked to the student association in Japanese and Korean studies (LVSJK Tanuki). Over the past few years Raiden has become a well established sports association including its own designed outfits and choreographed dances, with approximately 50 members.
In 2016, Raiden was granted the title of Yosakoi Ambassador by Kochi prefecture, hometown of yosakoi, along with six other international teams. Training is three times a week and performing across the Netherlands at various (anime) conventions and other Japan related events.
