Purple Spiral: the new horror musical from Youth Theatre Japan!
This time, Youth Theatre Japan will present a musical performance titled "Purple Spiral - Shiunka", themed around Japanese horror. A performance group, renowned for its high-level musicality and dance skills, will spread fear and madness throughout the venue.
Youth Theatre Japan is a leading musical theater company in Japan. It has performed not only in Japan but also in countries such as the United States, Canada, and Singapore.
For this performance, Japan's renowned composer Junichi Matsuda and up-and-coming playwright Ryota NGSK collaborate to present a uniquely Japanese horror entertainment inspired by the works of manga artist Junji Ito.
Enjoy the performances that will plunge the audience into the depths of fear, with acting and music designed to evoke terror. The dance performances combine Japanese style and speed for an unforgettable experience.
“Kanna, an ordinary high school girl, had one worry. She had grown up at a shrine dedicated to the memorializing of dolls, but she absolutely hated dolls. One day, Kanna brought an unnaturally twisted Japanese doll to school. In front of her surprised childhood friends, Sora and Miho, Kanna gradually undergoes a bizarre transformation. Before long, purple clouds swirl above the school. Amidst the students who have turned into a crazed, dancing mob, only Sora and Miho manage to hold on to their sanity...”
