The name of this musical: “Purple Spiral - Shinuka”!
Horror is at the heart of the themes of the 2025 edition of Japan Expo. The show is inspired by Japanese horror stories, taking up the motif of madness through the spiral of our guest of honor Junji Ito.

“Kanna, an ordinary high-school girl, has only one fear: dolls. She grew up in a temple dedicated to preserving these dolls, which she abhors.
One day, she brings a strange deformed doll back to school and, without warning, before the astonished eyes of her childhood friends Sora and Miho, Kanna gradually undergoes a metamorphosis.
Shortly afterwards, purplish clouds roll over the school. The crazed students have become a hysterical dancing mob, with only Sora and Miho keeping a shred of sanity...”
