News of Japan Expo Sud!
The event dedicated to Japanese culture fans in the South of France has started to unveil the program of its 12th edition. If you haven’t followed the festival news so far, here’s a recap!
Before joining us at Japan Expo on July 14-17, 2022, at Paris-Nord Villepinte Exhibition Center, why not get a foretaste of it, along with a bit of sunshine (if the weather’s ok with it) at Japan Expo Sud?! We’ll see you for its 12th edition on February 18-20, 2022, at Marseille Chanot as usual.
The festival program is unveiling little by little, and the first guests have been announced, starting with Brigitte Lecordier, the famous voice actress who has been Son Goku, Son Gohan, and Son Goten’s French voice as kids in Dragon Ball, to name only a few!
As for the streamers and bloggers MidoGeek and TalyPixie, they’ll be sharing their passion for video games with you, the first one being more into Pokémon and the second one into indie games.
As for music, No Time No Tune will make you discover or rediscover pop culture through covers of your favorite music from anime, video games, and more. More guests to be announced soon on the festival website.
Your favorite activities will also feature thanks to local associations:
- A diorama exhibit, featuring figurines of your favorite characters by Star Hill Team
- Manga drawing workshops and contests by ART ET MOUVEMENT
- Martial art demonstration and initiation sessions, including kendo with Fudokan and shorinji kempo with Shorinji Kempo Marseille
- And many more to come on Japan Expo Sud’s website
Last but not least, cosplay is back too, with cosplayers ready to color the alleys and the famous Cosplay Shows, with amazing performances and crazy costumes!
