Memories: Mangas and anime at Japan Expo 2024!

Japan Expo was THE festival to catch up on the latest manga and anime releases, discover new works and meet your favorite artists!

This year, more than 20 publishers and over 40 authors presented their manga at Japan Expo.

The festival was an opportunity to discover upcoming manga releases, such as Dark Souls Redemption, but also to complete your collection with classics available from Glénat or Mangetsu!

 
 

You could discover treasures at Akata, read manga by French authors at Ankama and take a sweet break in the Village Romance area at Delcourt/Tonkam!

 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 

The Pika Éditions stand brought with it a wide range of manga and webtoons for you to discover!

 
 
 
 
 

 

Tetsuhiro Hirakawa was on hand for a conference and live drawing: it was an opportunity to discover his new Nine Peaks manga, published by Ki-oon!

This year's manga guests put glitter in your eyes! Guest of honor Yugo Kobayashi was on hand at the Mangetsu booth to make you a fan of Ao Ashi's Tokyo City Esperion FC! Jay SkwarKim Jae HwanYui Kikuta and many others offered a host of activities, lectures and waited for you to sign autographs!

 
 

Perhaps you've had the chance to see Fe, the author of Love of Kill, at a live conference? Or perhaps you've met the other Vega-Dupuis authors, such as ZenKenron ToqueenAtelier SentôGoroglin and Mathieu Reynes?

The Glénat stand gave you the chance to meet the hottest authors of the moment, including LouiAna Cristina SanchezVanRah and Enaibi!

After a tour of the new Dofus, Ankama invited you to meet its French authors, including MalikiZD.NaokurenMarika HerzogTony ValenteJoël Dos Reis ViegasCynthia LemanKeto Valero and Jeronimo Cejudo!

It was also an opportunity to meet the Label 619 designers: 

Or discover the works of Owal and those of Rémi Inghilterra!

Zelihan and Romain Lemaire, authors with Pika Éditions, were waiting for you on the Nezumi stage for a live drawing, while Erutoth and Yoann Le Scoul were available on the Nouvelle Hydre stand to answer your questions about the Enfant des abysses trilogy and the Bravest Journey manga!

 

Shonen and Julien Blondel, the creators of Dark Souls Redemption, were in conference and live drawing on the Kuri stage at Japan Expo!

 

Sylvain Ferret and Nevan, authors of the one-shot l'Ombre de Moon, were on hand for signing sessions in the Sumiré area!

To round off the day in style, the Kana stand gave us the chance to meet the mangakas from its publishing house: 

...and don't forget the anime!

 
 

On the anime side, the guests were all there! Fans of young animator Dorian Coulon were able to see him at a conference and signing sessions, and Toshinari Shinohe and Uko Oshia gave us a review of the Child of Kamiari Month!

 
 
 

French-speaking dubbers answered the festival's call: Arnaud Laurent for his “How to make a VF?” lectures, Adeline Chetail for her round-table discussion and screening of the film SPY x FAMILY CODE: White, Brigitte Lecordier with her multiple activities, and finally Nessym Guetat and Laurent Sao in a memorable duel - each of their interventions thrilled us!

Japanese Seiyū were also on hand, with Saori Hayami, Yor Forger's double in SPY x FAMILY, and Natsuki Hanae, Tanjiro's double in Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba!

Finally, Demon Slayer producer Yuma Takahashi, A-1 Pictures producer Atsushi Kaneko and Action Director Yoshihiro Kanno took to the stage to talk about their work!
