Japan Expo Marseille unveils!
The festival began to reveal itself during En Route Pour Japan Expo! On the program: anecdotes, exclusives, and revelations from the first guests of Japan Expo Marseille!
Japan Expo Marseille: a festival with history!
Japan Expo Marseille was born to meet a demand: the South of France was lacking in pop-culture festivals. Lovers of Japanese culture were able to meet up at Japan Expo Marseille! As the festival was originally much smaller than its Parisian sister, it was named Chibi Japan Expo Sud to indicate to visitors that it was not an event of the same scale. Over the years, the festival has grown, and it became counterproductive to continue calling it that, so the co-founders opted for the name Japan Expo Marseille!
This year, the festival celebrates its 15th anniversary! What's planned for Japan Expo Marseille's 15th edition?
Brigitte Lecordier is the festival's first guest! Known for her roles as Son Goku as a child and Son Gohan, she is also the voice of Bojji in Ranking of kings and the artistic director of Frieren!
In terms of content, several exhibitions are already planned:
- The Godzilla exhibition, which will teach you all you need to know about the King of Monsters
- The K-Drama exhibition, to discover this genre that has taken our streaming platforms by storm
- A special 15-year anniversary exhibition tracing Japan Expo Marseille from its beginnings to the present day, and showing its evolution!
