The X JAPAN legend unveils: the documentary We Are X recounts their fascinating story. Japan Expo is inviting you to watch it on the big screen, in the presence of a very special guest: Yoshiki himself, founder of the group, J-rock icon, and creator of visual kei!
Book your seat for free: to access the events, you’ll have to show a ticket. Tickets are given out at the Signing Desk on the day of the screening, from the opening in the morning. First come, first served (one ticket per person).

Chronicling the band’s exhilarating, tumultuous and unimaginable history over the past three decades –persevering through personal, physical and spiritual heartache– the film culminates with preparations for their breathtaking reunion concert at New York’s legendary Madison Square Garden. Directed by acclaimed documentarian Stephen Kijak (Stones in Exile, Scott Walker: 30 Century Man), We Are X is an astonishingly intimate portrait of a deeply haunted––but truly unstoppable––virtuoso and the music that has enthralled legions of the world’s most devoted fans.
Don’t miss Yoshiki after the documentary screening (original version, French subtitles): he’ll be sharing his feelings during a talk-show to conclude the event.
The event will be finishing after the festival closing hour, thus another exit will be set up in the Yuzu stage hall. Attention, after 6.00 pm, you won’t be allowed to go back into the festival.
