Synopsis, Part 1 

Was it just a coincidence, or was it inevitable?
Ichigo Kurosaki acquired the powers of a Shinigami through a chance encounter. As a Shinigami Substitute, Ichigo was caught up in the turmoil of the Soul Society, the place where dead souls gather. With the help of his friends, Ichigo overcame every challenge to become even stronger. When new Shinigamis and a new enemy appear in his hometown of Karakura, Ichigo returns to the battlefield with his Zanpakutô, the Soul Devourer, to help those in need. Meanwhile, the Soul Society observes a sudden increase in the number of Hollows destroyed in the World of the Living. Inhabitants of the Rukon district have also been reported missing. Finally, the Seireitei, home to the Shinigami, is under attack from a group calling itself the Wandenreich.
Led by Yhwach, the father of all Quincies, the Wandenreich declare war on the Shinigamis with the following message: "In five days, the Soul Society will be annihilated by the Wandenreich". The history and truth hidden by the Shinigamis for a thousand long years will finally be revealed. All things must come to an end, and Ichigo Kurosaki's final battle begins!

Synopsis, Part 2:

After more than a thousand years, the Blood War between the Shinigami and the Quincies finally begins.
News of the Wandenreich's sudden attack also reaches Ichigo Kurosaki, Alternate Shinigami, urging him to join the battle to save the Soul Society. However, one Shinigami after another is slaughtered by the invading Stern Ritter, led by Yhwach, the father of all Quincies. Even the captains of the thirteen Court Protection Divisions struggle against the enemy's ability to steal their Bankai. Although Ichigo struggles from the start, he is no match for Yhwach's powers. In the ensuing battle, Ichigo's sword is destroyed.
Unable to repair his Zangetsu, a discouraged Ichigo is visited by his father, Isshin, who reveals the secret of his heritage: he was born of a Shinigami father and a Quincy mother. Isshin goes on to explain the life and memories he shared with Ichigo's mother, from their first meeting to their last goodbye. Finally understanding his true heritage, Ichigo gets back on his feet with renewed determination and begins the next stage of his training: gaining new powers to protect his friends and all he holds dear.

Meanwhile, Uryu Ishida, his family's last surviving Quincy, discovers the truth hidden in his grandfather's diary and understands his reason for being in this world. The battle enters a new phase when Yhwach appoints his successor, sparking controversy within the Wandenreich. "These are the last 9 days of this world". The time of separation approaches as darkness envelops the Seireitei.
