Toshihiro KAWAMOTO
Cowboy Bebop is a legend of animation and Japan Expo will be celebrating its 20th Anniversary in partnership with Sunrise and Dybex and with several guests. Among them is the artist who brought its characters to life, Toshihiro KAWAMOTO, the chara-designer of the series!
Profile
Toshihiro KAWAMOTO is an animator and chara-designer from Mie Prefecture. He got his start doing inbetweening on Urusei Yatsura in 1985.
The year after, he did key animation on Mobile Suit Gundam ZZ and on Venus Wars in 1989. He became the animation supervisor on Mobile Suit Gundam 0080: War in the Pocket and did his first character design work on Mobile Suit Gundam 0083: Stardust Memory in 1990.
In 1998, he was involved in the foundation of the animation company BONES INC., and has been mostly active on BONES projects since then. His most representative works are Mobile Suit Gundam 0083: Stardust Memory and Cowboy Bebop, among many others.
The projects he has been involved with most recently are Noragami ARAGOTO and Blood Blockade Battlefront & Beyond.
Toshihiro KAWAMOTO will be joining the celebration of Cowboy Bebop 20th Anniversary at Japan Expo next summer, alongside Masahiko MINAMI, Keiko NOBUMOTO, Shinichiro WATANABE, and Kimitoshi YAMANE.
