Fond of simple things like cats, cars and people, young artist Lion MATSUDA always draws with her heart. Her style is recognizable through thanks to a wide range of bright colors and lively sceneries that give off a relax and happy vibe.
She draws many caricatures and is mainly influenced by comics drawing style and pop art. Despite her young age, she already has an impressive career punctuated by increasingly more prestigious collaborations.
First assistant for different mangaka, Lion MATSUDA finally became an illustrator. She now works for very diverse companies such as the Japanese drink retailer Pokka Sapporo or the BMW company for who she makes many official illustrations for motor racing.
She regularly works with other artists, like the band KISHIDAN for who she created sticker sheets or Junichi MITSUBORI, an expert of wagashi, Japanese traditional pastries.
Lion MATSUDA is holding a masterclass and inviting you to discover her favorite drawing techniques. Children are not left out since they can participate to her worshop on the Kids' area. Come and celebrate the 100th anniversary of Japanese animation with her!
