Shuhei KATO, CEO of M.P. Works who has worked on Lupin the Third for many, many years, is celebrating the 50th anniversary of the saga with a panel, with Kazuhide TOMONAGA.
Biography
Shuhei KATO is the CEO of M.P. Works. Born in 1971, he has produced Monkey Punch’s manga works such as Lupin the Third.
Since 2010, he has been working on the film making of Lupin the Third, whether animation or live action, and releasing it. Let’s name a few with the spin off TV series Lupin the Third: The Woman Called Fujiko Mine (2014), the OAV Lupin the Third: Jigen Daisuke no Bohyo (2014), the live movie Lupin the Third (2014), the TV series Lupin the Third Part IV (2015), the OAV Lupin the Third: The Blood Spray of Goemon Ishikawa (2017), or else the live action TV drama Inspector Zenigata (2017).
For the 50th anniversary of Lupin the Third, Shuhei KATO is attending a big event mixing a panel and a screening on Thursday on the Yuzu stage, with several characters related to the series, among whom Kazuhide TOMONAGA, festival guest on the occasion of Animé 100.
