IORIYA
The Japanese troupe makes Japan Expo dance!
Posted on
IORIYA is a Japanese group whose aim is to share Japanese culture through the Yosakoi dance (which translates as "comes at night"). This dance, originally from the Kochi prefecture, is a variant of the traditional Awa-Odori dance. The costumes worn during performances feature Japanese motifs and are made from traditional materials. But they're not just for the show, as the troupe had the opportunity to present them at Paris Fashion Week!
The theme of this year's festival is "Sharing Emotions Across Countries". With their dynamic choreography, traditional yet modern costumes and typical dance accessories (large umbrellas and flags), come and move with IORIYA at Japan Expo!
