The World Standard (Wasuta for short) is the fourth band born from the iDOL Street project. Created on March 29, 2015, The World Standard are idols of the digital era. Ruka MISHINA and Nanase HIROKAWA, both vocals, and the three performers Miri MATSUDA, Ririka KODAMA, and Hazuki SAKAMOTO share the idol kawaii culture with the whole wide world through their songs, live shows, and social networks.
Their signature title, Inuneko. Seishun Massakari, reached first of the idol song awards in the indies category in 2015. They released their first major album, The World Standard, in May the same year. They released a new single last February 22, Wanna Be Famous.
The World Standard has soon become a famous band through its activities on social networks. They even encourage their fans to be part of the phenomenon and are one of the rare bands accepting that audiences take photos or films during their shows.
