Neko Light Orchestra
The Neko Light Orchestra is back on stage at Japan Expo for a musical and singing tribute to Studio Ghibli’s movies, and an exceptional guest is joining them: Azumi INOUE, the original singer of My Neighbor Totoro and Castle in the Sky soundtracks!
Biography
The Neko Light Orchestra is a melodic rock band specialized in reinterpreting movies and anime music. Since their first performance at Japan Expo in 2013 when they set fire to the stage with their anime and video game music covers, the band has kept on developing, while going from convention to convention across France, Switzerland, Belgium, and to Japan where the Nekos have performed earlier this year at Haneda International Anime Music Festival.
The band has also created and developed a concept of concerts in cinema theatres, plugged to the theatre song system, to perform live tribute to the universes they love in front of a screen showing. Their Lord of the Rings show has been featured at the Grand Rex (one of the most prestigious cinema theatres in Paris), and the tour Échos de la Vallée du Vent, a tribute to Joe HISAISHI’s music, Hayao MIYAZAKI’s films and Studio Ghibli, was attended by close to 7,000 people in 2014. After the release of the album of their compositions, Uchronies Musicales Vol.1, financed by the fans, the Neko Light Orchestra is back at Japan Expo!
