The comedy duo Jaru Jaru is joining the live show by Japan in Motion at Japan Expo on Thursday, and the talk-show on Saturday! Ready to laugh out loud?
Biography
Jaru Jaru is a Japanese comedy duo managed by Yoshimoto Creative Agency, made of Junpei GOTO and Shusuke FUKUTOKU. They made their debut in April, 2003.
Jaru Jaru perform regularly on TV programs such as Mecha-Mecha Iketeru, Jaru Yaru, Sukimada Jaru Jaru, Jaru Jaru & Mitsuru Kuramoto’s Conte Conference (Niconico). Jaru Jaru has a lot of great records in many comedy championships including winning ABC Comedy Grand Prix in 2013, being finalists in M-1 Grand Prix in 2010, and King of Conte in 2009 and 2010.
They also have high reputation on their live performance. Their live show without supporting act, called Jaruttenja Ne-yo, takes place twice a year in Tokyo and Osaka, but audience faces hard time to get the ticket.
In the other new genre of live called "Appuku Live", they take adjectives and nouns from the audience to decide the title of a conte, and perform improvisation. They collaborate with world famous photographer Leslie KEE.
Jaru Jaru are also actors and played the two main characters in Hero Show (directed by Kazuyuki IDUTSU in 2010). They have performed abroad, in UK and in France. Jaru Jaru are among the most successful Japanese comedians worldwide.
