Eir AOI was born on a November 30 in Hokkaido in Japan. She released her major debut single in 2011: MEMORIA, used as the ending theme song of the anime series Fate/Zero, which reached straight away the 8th rank in the Oricon Weekly single hit chart.

A year later, success settled with AURORA, Mobile Suit Gundam AGE opening theme song, and then INNOCENCE a month later, Sword Art Online opening theme song, which reached the 6th rank in the Oricon Weekly single hit chart as soon as it was released. Her first album, BLAU, followed on January 30, 2013, and reached the 4th rank in the Oricon Weekly album chart. Her 5th single, Sirius, was used as the opening theme song of the popular anime series Kill la Kill

After two more years, Eir AOI’s fans discovered her 2nd album, AUBE. Eir AOI released more singles too, with IGNITE, Sword Art Online II opening theme song, TSUNAGARU OMOI, and then GENESIS last February, used as the ending theme song for Aldnoah.Zero 2nd Season.

Her albums and singles have been released in over 20 countries worldwide and Eir AOI has been performing on international stages, at Sakura-Con, USA, at AnimagiC 2013, Germany, at Anime Festival Asia, Indonesia and Singapore, at J-FEST 2014, Russia and also Natsumatsuri, Peru.

In 2015, she is releasing another single in April, Lapis Lazuli, going on a world tour and coming to meet her French fans for the first time at Japan Expo next summer!

On top of live performances and signings, Eir AOI will be the special guest of the show ESPRIT JAPON Japan in Motion which will be held on stage at Japan Expo on Satruday. We’ll tell you more about this event soon!
