Yuai Association
The Yuai Association is back at Japan Expo to initiate you to Japanese traditional culture with activities all along the festival: live shows, ikebana, calligraphy, origami, yukata dressing and much more to discover!
Introduction
For the 4th year in a row, the Yuai, the most active French-Japanese association in Paris, is meeting you on their booth at Japan Expo.
All year long, the Yuai is keeping the French-Japanese community alive with activities and events: French and Japanese classes, go and shôgi games, calligraphy, origami, tea ceremony, cultural outings, etc.
New in 2015
For Japan Expo 16th Impact, the ikebana artist Kenji TSUTSUMI and the ceramics artist King Houndekpinkou present floral arrangements. The vases work as a basis for Kenji TSUTSUMI’s flower arrangements, presenting two styles of ikebana: shajitsu moribana, for which techniques at at the center of ikebana, and sanshu ike, which highlights vegetal minimalism.
This year, the artists of the group KIRIE are creating a calligraphy work especially for Yuai during a live show. Don’t miss their performance on Thursday!
