Presentation
Introduced in France in 1972 by Aosaka Sensei (8e dan), shôrinji kempô is an art of self-defense, spiritual elevation, and health preservation. This Japanese martial art is one of the budô styles. It was founded in 1947 by Dôshin Sô.
Structured around kongo zen (the philosophical teaching also known as Diamond-zen), this martial art teaches theory and self-defense methods. The purpose is that kenshin (pupils) become capable of protecting themselves but also the others thanks to goho (hard techniques) and juho (soft techniques).
