Go back to the atmospheres of cult works of Japanese animation thanks to this exhibit dedicated to Shichiro KOBAYASHI, a painter and illustrator, a huge artist and master of anime settings!
Introduction
To pay a tribute to Shichiro KOBAYASHI, a great name of Japanese animation who’s realized the settings of many cult anime, Japan Expo is proposing an exhibit in which you can admire many of the works he made as an illustrator, painter and art director.
Shichiro KOBAYASHI has left the mark of his talent on symbolic works of 20th century Japanese animation, from the cult Nobody’s Boy: Remi to Berserk or Ashita no Joe 2.
The exhibit presents works of various sizes to get immersed in the atmospheres of the anime on which he’s worked, hand drawn illustration. You will also discover another side of the artist with abstract, contemporary paintings. The exhibit gives an overview of the various graphic styles used by the artist!
Shichiro KOBAYASHI is also a guest of the festival: come meet him for a panel, masterclasses and signings.
