MO5.COM
Pac-Man, Super Mario Bros., Rayman, the PlayStation… You’re wondering what they have in common? They’re all celebrating their anniversaries on MO5.COM’s booth at Japan Expo this year: the association is back to remind you of good old times with retro video games!
Introduction
MO5.COM is an association working to preserve our computer and video game heritage, and in the end aims at opening the first national museum dedicated to digital culture. Created as a website in 1996 by Philippe DUBOIS, it now hosts one of the biggest collections in Europe: computers, consoles, arcade terminals, softwares and games, specialized magazines, advertising items, old documents, and more.
Not content with preserving this heritage, MO5.COM also shares and spreads this culture to the general public and that’s why they organize exhibits, in cultural institutions or conventions hosting video game contents. The association has been attending Japan Expo for many years with free access machines and displays of its collection.
Activities
This year, MO5.COM is inviting you to celebrate several important anniversaries: the games Pac-Man (35 y.o.), Super Mario Bros. (30 y.o.) or Rayman (20 y.o.), legendary machines such as the Master System (30 y.o.), the Neo∙Geo (25 y.o.) or the PlayStation (20 y.o.).
