Nozomi KANDA, shinobue
Shinobue flute player Nozomi KANDA meets you at workshops to make you discover the delicate sound of her traditional instrument as well as its history, and allows you to try it out yourself!
Presentation
Shinobue is a Japanese flute that can both be played as street music and during sophisticated artistic representations. It is sometimes accompanied by other traditional instruments such as taiko (Japanese drum) or koto (a plucked stringed instrument).
Program
Artist Nozomi KANDA is part of Tsunagari village and awaits you at her booth to talk to you about her preferred instrument and gives you the opportunity to try it out. You will also be able to discover her on the Sakura stage during a musical demonstration with other Japanese instruments in collaboration with musicians and students of Atelier de Flûte.
